I was facebooking with a fellow angler who was telling me about his river. He'd worked out that purple and yellow were the two most favoured colours but had never really found an effective fly that combined the colours with the right weight and shape. Always game for a challenge, I went to my vise and started to experiment. And so the Rhubarb and Custard Snaelda was born.
