The Lava Tail Shrimp is a lovely Irish pattern for Atlantic Salmon and can be used whenever you might use a Cascade or Ally's Shrimp. This fly is not that common and you can use it when you want a bright fly or to fish something the fish will not have seen before.
The tail and wing are tied from a lovely tip-dyed American Opossum hide from FutureFly, the body is orange holographic with a silver tinsel tag and rib, whilst the two hackles are orange and black and taken from a Whiting 4B Hen cape. The bright head is formed with fire orange thread and finished with Jungle Cock nails.
