The Ice Maiden originated as a copper tube on the River Tweed as a winter and cold weather pattern. Here I have tied it in a light style known as a 'flamethrower' The tail and wing is formed from chartreuse and silver doctor blue bucktail, the body is silver tinsel and the hackles are chartreuse and silver doctor blue hackles taken from Whiting 4B Hen capes.
