Today's Fly of the Day is the Cop Car, a black and white Clouser, and which is one of the answers to last week's Clouser Competition. The Cop Car is widely used in both fresh and saltwater as a bait-fish imitation. The Cop Car Clouser is made with a heavy 6mm Funky Fly Tying dumbbell super-glued and wrapped to an extra heavy #2 Mustad hook. The tail is black bucktail highlighted with black peacock flash. The wing is white bucktail and the body has been super-glued and over-wrapped with pearl braid. The thread head is a Uni 8/0 in black super-glued and varnished. Another fly that meets my core values - Pretty and Pretty Tough.
