Today we have a custom batch of Wasp and Canary Snaelda ordered by a client with precise requirements for his river. It's great fun to listen to an experienced angler describe exactly what they want and then sit down at the vise and make it come to life! The other challenge was photographic - these flies did not show up well in my usual light-box. However my house roof had lost a slate and this proved the perfect colour and background to show the flies. This is a one time only as the slate is now firmly re-attached to my roof!
